Brandon Egner, MSPAS, PA-C is a physician assistant with Valley View’s Heart and Vascular Center. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from DeSales University in Pennsylvania, then attained his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Seton Hill University in 2013. He has since worked in cardiology hospital and clinic roles, in Pennsylvania, Colorado and Montana. He holds special interests in electrophysiology, arrhythmia management and structural heart disease.

Cardiology has always been Brandon’s calling. “Heart disease is the number-one killer in the Western world and it affects every single one of us in some way. I also enjoy the fact that there’s always something new to learn—new treatments and so many other things to keep up with. It appeals to the science nerd in me.”

He continues to bring this love of science to work every day, along with a strong desire to connect with his patients. “I’m very big on research and evidence-based medicine,” Brandon says. “I try hard to stay up to date on the latest treatments and techniques, and I think my patients appreciate that. I strive to treat every patient as a unique individual, with genuine empathy and respect for their specific needs.”

Brandon loves to spend time in nature, often while backpacking or hiking. He also enjoys traveling around the world, most often to indulge his greatest passion: fly fishing. “I spent three weeks in New Zealand on a solo fishing trip, right before COVID,” he says. “I managed to get home, but I can’t say I would have been disappointed if I’d been stuck there a little bit longer!”
